We take our son Charlie to Major Minors this year (2009) in preference to a larger crèche. We like the personal care and attention to meeting his needs. He’s settling in really well. We were really happy with the care our daughter received between the ages of one and two at Major Minors baby childcare a couple of years ago. Sunniva gave her a range of experiences within a secure, caring environment. Sunniva has a special strength in sharing her love of music and movement. Major Minors was a great start in education for her!

Thank you very much for taking such good care of Alex! It was the first time I had left my 8 month old in someone else's care, and you made the transition very easy. Alex always had a smile on his face when I dropped him off and was still smiling when I picked him up. He didn't seem to miss me one bit!!! I highly recommend Major Minors as you offer a safe and stimulating environment for babies and toddlers,and, most importantly, each child is treated with warmth and care.

I never had to worry about Benjamin whilst at Major Minors. If he had a bump, bruise, didn't eat or said a new word, I was told about it. As much as possible, Sunniva kept up routines that I had set in place at home, which was invaluable. Sunniva was always taking photos so I never felt like I was 'missing out' on Ben's progress. We still look at those photos all the time now! Sunniva tailored the learning experiences to the kids individual needs. For example, unfortunately we don't have a bath at home so when Sunniva realised this she went out of her way to include more water play in the programme! Ben learned how to transfer water from one pot to another. This example just shows the flexibility of a smaller, family orientated, childcare environment!

I had originally wanted home-based care for my son Timothy but my experience with Major Minors has changed my attitude to group-based childcare! Timothy was at an awkward age for starting childcare, almost 1 year old. I felt reassured by Sunniva's manner with both my son and me. The first day he cried the whole time I was gone and I was glad that Sunniva called me after a couple of hours. We built up his hours from there and it was only a week or two before he was only crying for a few minutes as I left. I was very happy with his care and have no hesitation in recommending Major Minors to anyone for the care of your baby or toddler!
